Emergency funding bills … bailouts … stimulus packages … government ownership of private firms … universal health care.  Is our federal government so rich that it has an infinite source of wealth to fund all of these schemes?  Or is it broke according to generally accepted accounting principles and is using its power to create money out of thin air to impoverish us?  We all know, deep down, that there is no such thing as a free lunch.  We know that by following the siren call of Big Paternal Government, we are on the highway to serfdom.

Is there no justice in our system of government?  Is there no redress to this usurpation of power that once belonged to the people and the states?  The political class would like us to believe that.  But our politicians are in deadly fear that we might discover the one weapon in our arsenal that is more powerful than the printing press they use to print pictures of presidents on green-backed paper – the US Constitution!
